Welcome!

Thanks for stopping by my little blog. Its purpose isn't so much to show off my work, it is more of a way for me to catalog the things I've created. I hope you enjoy peeking at my projects while you are here!

Cri-Kits

Ok, so no card today (my husband bought me a Kindle and I've been reading instead of crafting!  I know, I know!  I do have to say, reading is my favorite!  I'll have more cards soon...), but I have something cool to share with you!  Go over to The Queen's blog and check out what she has done with the Cri-kits pens.  They are little pens that fit where the blade goes in your cricut and it will draw on the paper instead of cut it!  So fun!  Go check out her projects as well as all the cool stuff Cri-kits has given her to give away.  Be sure to stay tuned on The Queen's blog for tomorrow too, because my very talented Sister-in-law will be showcasing what she has done.  I know it will be super cute!  The rest of The Queen's design team will follow, one each day.

Snail Mail!

Here is a quick card I just finished.  I'm not loving how it turned out (it isn't the same as it was in my head lol!), but I just love the glasses on this little snail so I had to share it anyway!

The dark brown base is just cardstock I got from Michaels.  The pattern and white papers were just from my stash.  The blue and green textured cardstock is from DCWV.  The sentiment is from Joy's Life All Around Sentiments set.  I just masked around the border of the stamp to only use the Hi! in the center.  The sweet, sweet little face on the snail is from Peachy Keen's Critter Faces stamp set.  Isn't he adorable!!

I have a confession to make.  I'm obsessed with twine!  I know whose fault it is (you know who you are!), but that is ok because I just love how it adds a bit of sweetness to a card.  I'm not even sure it belongs on this card, but I was bound and determined to use some.  I love that color too!  It is from The Twinery

Also, I decided to put my little snail on an action wobble.  You can see how he stands off from the page.  He is pretty cute wobbling all around!  You can get the little wobbles from here

Thanks for stopping by!

Flower Pot Card

I have a quick little card for today.  I don't love how it turned out, but I still think it is pretty cute.  I think maybe I should have put a background pattern paper on?  I'm not entirely sure.  It is 5.5 by 3 so I'll need to make an envelope for it before I can use it.

The flower is from the Garden Flowers SVG set from Lettering Delights.  The base is kraft cardstock, of course.  The yellow and lavender papers are from my stash and the rest is from DCWV.

I used some foam adhesive squares to give the flower and the top of the flower pot some depth.  I used a little piece of lilac twine from the twinery and some accents with my white gel pen.  Simple, but cute.

I haven't decided what I'm going to use this card for.  I have three different sentiment stamps that will all fit perfectly on the body of the flower pot, so once I decide what I want to use it for, I'll stamp it on.  I'll also finish the inside of the card with some light yellow cardstock.

That's all for now!

Thanks a Melon!

School is officially out for me and all our staff meetings are done. Yahoo! That means when it's naptime for my son, it's crafting time for mommy!

I made a quick thank you card. It seems that is the type of card I need the most these days and this one is perfect for summer!

The base is kraft cardstock (I love that stuff!). The green and red cardstocks are from DCWV. The black and white are just from my stash. The watermelon was cut from the Lettering Delights SVG set called Backyard Fun. The sentiment is from Joy's Life Yummy Puns stamp set.

I finished the inside with some ivory cardstock and a little watermelon wedge which is also from Backyard Fun. I gave her a sweet little face from the Peachy Keen Princess Faces stamp set. So sweet!

That's it for now! Thanks for stopping in.
