Welcome!

Thanks for stopping by my little blog. Its purpose isn't so much to show off my work, it is more of a way for me to catalog the things I've created. I hope you enjoy peeking at my projects while you are here!

Tacky Tuesday Challenge!

This is my entry for the Tacky Tuesday Challenge! I had the idea for this sentiment as soon as I read the challenge. I'm not loving how the card turned out...but I have very limited time...so it is what it is. I think it is kinda cute. The sentiment is a little hard to read because it is so small. It says, "Chick it out! It's ladies night!" This would be an invite to a girls night out.

The chick and the glass are from Simply Charmed. I printed the sentiment on my computer and cut it out with an old oval cutting stencil from Creative Memories. The pattern paper and the coordinating pink for the beverage is Classic Prints from Ki Memories. The sweet little bird face is of course from Peachy Keen! It is from the adorable Critter Faces set.

I hope you enjoyed my little Tacky Tuesday card. Thanks for stopping by!

Hi there! I finally got this project done. I've been wanting to do it for a long time. It is for my classroom. These are schedule markers for me to put on the board. If I write the schedule on the white board, this saves me time. I can just put them in the right order on the board and we are all set to go! I apologize for the terrible pictures! They always look fine on my iPhone screen and then when I pull them up on the big screen, it turns out they were pretty bad. I need to just use my good camera! I couldn't retake them because I took them to school and they are getting laminated, which will make for even worse pictures! They are much cuter in person! I should have taken the time to put little PK faces on each of the apples. I just didn't have time.

I cut the letters at 1.75 from the Learning Curve cart. I used my Gypsy to weld them together. The apples are from the Doodlecharms card and they are also cut at 1.75. I cut the Kraft cardstock strips at 2.5 x 8.5. I will be laminating these like I said and then putting magnets on the back so they will stick to my white board. So fun!

Thanks for stopping by!

Valentine's Day

I know this post is a little late, but I'm just now getting time to get it online.

This is a simple little project (time consuming, but simple). I made these cute little boxes for my students as valentines. I got the idea, well pretty much stole the project, from my SIL Ruthie over at September Ninth. See her cute project here. I used my gypsy just like she did to weld the heart (from Doodlecharms) to the front of the pizza box (Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More). I sized my boxes down because with 19 students, it would take a ton of M&Ms! As it was I used 2.5 bags! I sized my box at 4.59 x 8.15 and the heart at 2.53 x 3.27. They were just the right size to cut two out of an 8.5 by 11 sheet of cardstock.

I used the heart punch outs and glued them on the back of each valentine using the opposite color. I used Recollections cardstock and some yarn from my yarn box to tie the box closed. I wanted twine but didn't have time to get it because I made two trips to Michaels for this project and forgot the twine both times! I used 4 x 3.5 cello bags.

I'm hoping to get some other projects done soon.
