I hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas and a wonderful New Year!
Ok...this is my very first mini-album. I made it for the mother of a family friend who was able to spend this Christmas season here with the family. I thought she might like a fun way to chronicle some of the special moments they spent together. I did an envelope album and my envelopes were 9 1/2 by 4 1/8. I assembled it like you see
here.
Please forgive the terrible pictures I took! My crafting time is only during nap time or bed time for my son and he is going to wake up from his nap any minute now. I wanted to get this done and posted so I can move on to my next project!
While this didn't turn out exactly as I had pictured, I think it came out pretty good. I am extremely limited by my paper supply...arg. I spent so much money in the last few weeks on cricut carts and my gypsy...well...there wasn't much left for paper. All the paper here I used from my scrap pile, except for the paper I used to make the cardstock cover (under the green). That was kraft cardstock from Recollections.
I used my gypsy to cut out the words and the font here is the Gypsy Font.
The words on this page I cut out with my QuicKutz Squeeze. The font is Olivia.
The little tag here I cut from the Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More cart.
Both tags here were cut from the Bags, Tags, Boxes, and More cart. I think the red pocket looks a little bright with the black picture backing, but I realized once there is a picture on there, it should blend in better.
This cute little file folder which opens for room to journal (I lined the inside with white cardstock), was cut from the Fabulous Finds cart.
I think this is my favorite part of the whole album! The words were cut from the Gypsy Font cart and the sweet snowman came from the Gypsy Wanderings cart. The ADORABLE face is from the Peachy Keen Happy Lashes stamp set. I colored in the nose and mouth with colored pencils.
Thanks for stopping in!
